NuORDER is a B2B eCommerce startup based in California and New York. They were looking to revamp their overall online and platform presentation and solutions offerings to create a more dynamic and engaging experience for users.
THE CHALLENGE
NuOrder is a dynamic startup that was looking to rehaul their brand, messaging and online presence to help accentuate the key value propositions of using the platform.
THE SOLUTION
The goal of the this new redesign was to improve overall usability of their current site, to create a dynamic experience that would be congruent with their company ethos and to introduce a fresh new approach to position them as a leader in the space.
The Story
RESEARCH AND Discovery
At the onset of the project, NuOrder wanted to give a fresh look to their existing brand to go along with their relaunch.
Various visual studies and moodboards were created to study some new directions in their visual language and updates to their style guide some of which included studies in various accent colors, photographic tone and visual layout.
Existing user personas and scenarios were analyzed to see how different users may engage
with the new online experience.
Various case studies from the existing brands that currently use the NuOrder platform were also analyzed as well.
NuOrder is a robust B2B technology platform that engages with many other platforms. This overall platform was analyzed to understand fresh ways in which to accentuate these various integrations and to provide a clear understanding of how various brands and ecommerce companies can engage with the platform to streamline their operations.
Design AND PROTOTYPING
Detailed sitemaps and user flows were created to understand how users would engage with the solution.
Detailed wireframes were generated and analyzed to ensure the implementation was the clearest, most effective
approach to building the new structure of the site.
Since the NuORDER platform is a 2 sided technology platform that provides the streamlined bridge between brands and retailers, various design and animation studies were created to find ways to accentuate the key messaging and visual storytelling attributes of this functionality.
Various storyboards were created to help visualize different animation approaches for the online experience.
Various animation prototypes were created to help facilitate an example of how this type of animation would illustrate device + content reveals.
Understanding how the platform could improve various B2B e-commerce success metrics was crucial to integrate into the overall design.
Storyboards and animations were generated in various front design development environments to
showcase potential homepage animations.
A dynamic homepage comp was created to help give a fresh new take on how new design solutions could be implemented.
OUTCOME
NuORDER continues to do well in the B2B ecommerce space, generating over 6B of transaction flow through its platform and the company itself receiving over 50M in venture capital over the past several years.
